Report: Digitalization in Conformity Assessment in New Zealand

Canterbury University has published a report assessing the digital maturity of conformity assessment bodies. It mainly covers the laboratory discipline but also captures some certification, inspection and validation insights. It is part of a global study assessing digital readiness and responses. You can access the full report below and access comparable reports from other regions here.

"The digital transformation of the economy as well as increasingly networked and complex products and applications are bringing digitalization into the focus of conformity assessment bodies (CABs). Innovations, new technologies and processes depend on corresponding conformity assessment services. This poses new challenges for testing and calibration laboratories, inspection and certification bodies, and other CABs. At the same time, however, digitalization also offers new opportunities. Our QI-FoKuS study explores "Digitalization in Conformity Assessment" based on data from an online survey of accredited CABs in New Zealand."
