Partnering with FAMI-QS
JAS-ANZ is proud to continue our partnership with FAMI-QS to provide a customised training program in conformity assessment and management system certification for the organisations that have applied for FAMI-QS certification.
FAMI-QS is an accredited third-party feed safety management system for the sector of specialty feed ingredients and their mixtures. FAMI-QS has been part of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) since 2017. FAMI-QS sees accreditation as an important pillar for the credibility of its scheme and the certification process.
JAS-ANZ will deliver training in conformity assessment and an understanding of the ISO/IEC 17021-1 Management System Certification standard for the applicant organisations globally. FAMI-QS believes the delivery of this training will help the organisations understand the accreditation process, third-party certification process works, and the value they deliver to an organisation.
JAS-ANZ will deliver this program three times per year to support the certification program for FAMI-QS.
A key strategy for JAS-ANZ is to support the improvement of conformity assessment performance with high-quality training through the JAS-ANZ Accelerate Training Academy. This collaboration with FAMI-QS meets our goal of improving knowledge and expertise in conformity assessment including accreditation and certification.
Emmanouil (Manolis) Geneiatakis, Secretary General, FAMI-QS, provided the following:
"Following a successful first round of the training in conformity assessment, ISO/IEC 17021-1, and the certification requirements delivered by the Joint Accreditation System from Australia New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) to FAMI-QS Certified Organisations in the Asia-Pacific region, FAMI-QS is deepening its close collaboration and partnership with JAS-ANZ.
Providing the necessary tools for our members to understand the basics of how management system accreditation and conformity assessment work is of high importance to FAMI-QS. JAS-ANZ was able to understand our needs and design a training system aimed at the industry members. The dedicated JAS-ANZ Learning and Development team supports us and our members in their learning journey with high level of professionalism.
Through this collaboration, we do expect that the value of accreditation and the role of the accreditation bodies will be fully understood by the feed supply chain, who will not consider accreditation just as an additional logo on their certificate."
