ISO/TS 22003 Food safety management systems — Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems is an International Standard that provides Certification Bodies (CBs), with a set of requirements that enables them to undertake the certification of food safety management systems.

The Understanding ISO/TS 22003 Food Safety Management Systems course is an online introduction covering the conformity assessment concepts for the certification of food safety management systems. Key topics include terms and definitions, the standard requirements, and linkages between clauses in the standard and other related standards. It aims to provide a high level of understanding of the standard which will allow auditors, scheme owners and developers and other interested parties to understand the standard and its application.

ISO/TS 22003 adopts the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1 in its entirety and provides additional requirements, definitions, guidance, and informative information. Please review the course prerequisites before registering for this training course.

The course is focused on the application of the standard in the certification process and includes a range of videos, online modules and case studies to work through, and apply, the requirements of the standard.

**This course is delivered in a blended training format, requiring participants to complete online training materials prior to attending a 3-hour facilitated webinar.

On completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Course prerequisites

It is recommended that course participants complete training, or are competent, in the requirements of the following standards prior to undertaking this training course:

  • ISO/IEC 17021-1 Management Systems Certification, and
  • ISO 22000 Food Management Systems.

This course does not cover any requirements of ISO/IEC 17021-1 and therefore we recommend that you have completed ISO/IEC 17021-1 training prior to attending training in ISO/TS 22003. It is also expected that auditors and assessors would be competent in the requirements of ISO 22000 Food Safety Management.

This prerequisite is provided as a guide. Participants are not required to provide evidence of prior training in the above standards to register for this course.
