Food Act?2014

The Purpose of this Act is to: Restate and reform the law realtaing to how persons trade in food; and achieve the safety and suitability of food for sale; and maintain confidence in New Zealand's food safety regime; and provide for risk -based measures that: minimise and manage risks to public health; and protect and promote public health; and provide certainty for food businesses in relation to how the requirements of this Act will affect thier activities; and require persons who trade in food to take responsibility for the safety and suitability of that food.
Food Regulations?2015

Imposes appropriate Risk Based Measure for food bussiness within New Zealand; identifies the approriate registration authority for the food business; provides requirements that must be met by food business operators, including importers, to ensure their food is safe and suitable; provides for Verification of food businesses; sets down requirements for Recognised Agencies and Persons, food business infringements and offenses and other standards relating to food.
